Our philosophy is simple: we procure hard-to-find cheese and other food products and put them into the hands of retailers, specialty buyers and chefs here in the United States. Owner Michele Lanza relocated from Italy in early 1998. He founded Fresca Italia in 2001 to address a niche market looking for unique, high-quality Italian products he recalled from his Italian childhood. Mr. Lanza previously served as the General Manager for the North American division of a multi-million dollar Italian specialty product import company. He is well known throughout Italy and the United States for his commitment to bring the best – and freshest – products from Italy to the United States.
