Description:
Despite its name, the black summer truffle thrives in northern Italy, where it is mostly known as "scorzone", from May until January. They grow underground in symbiosis with various types of trees in an altitude between 200 and 1200 meters. In comparison to black winter truffles, the summer truffles are less intense in aroma and flavor.
