The Valli di Lanzo are thee valleys in northwestern Piemonte bordering France. Home to some of Italy’s most dramatic peaks, the valleys have become popular tourist destinations for the wealthy residents of Torino who come to enjoy the stunning views while rockclimbing in summer and skiing in the winter.

The valleys also lend their name to a full flavored blue cheese made from the raw milk of cows that graze in the meadows of the high alpine pastures. The texture of the cheese is slightly drier than many blues though it retains a richness on the palate. The flavor is slightly piquant and bold.
